Jesus Loves You

The Lovingkindess of God the Father

1.  Then the Lord came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the Lord.  And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.  (Exodus 34:5-7 NIV)

2. This is what the Lord says: “ The wise must not boast in his wisdom; the mighty must not boast i his might; the rich must not boast in his riches. But the one who boasts should boast in this, that he understands and knows Me--that I am the LORD, showing faithful love, justice, and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things. (Jeremiah 9:23-24 HCSB)

3.  Long ago the Lord said to Israel:I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself. (Jeremiah 31:3 NLT)

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3NIV)

4.  How great is God’s love for all who worship him? Greater than the distance between heaven and earth! (Psalm 103:11CEV)

5.  “Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her.  There I will give her back her vineyards,
and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt.
19 I will promise to make you Mine forever. Yes, I will take you as My bride in what is right and good and fair, and in loving-kindness and in loving-pity. 20 I will keep My promise and make you Mine. Then you will know the Lord. 21 “In that day” says the Lord, “I will give an answer to the heavens, and they will give an answer to the earth. 22 The earth will give an answer to the grain, the new wine, and the oil. And they will give an answer to Jezreel. 23 I will plant her for Myself in the land. Those who were not loved, I will call, ‘My loved ones.’ Those who were not My people, I will call, ‘My people.’ And they will say, ‘You are my God!’” (Hosea 2:11-23 NIV)

6.  For the Lord your God is living among you.  He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears.   He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” ( Zephaniah 3:17 NLT)

The Love of Jesus

1.16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. Whoever puts his trust in God’s Son will not be lost but will have life that lasts forever.  (John 3:16 NLV)

2. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15:13 NLT)

3. 17 You say that God is your Father, but God doesn’t have favorites! He judges all people by what they do. So you must honor God while you live as strangers here on earth. 18 You were rescued from the useless way of life that you learned from your ancestors. But you know that you were not rescued by such things as silver or gold that don’t last forever. 19 You were rescued by the precious blood of Christ, that spotless and innocent lamb. 20 Christ was chosen even before the world was created, but because of you, he did not come until these last days.  (1 Peter 1:17-20 CEV)

4.  What can we say about all this? If God is on our side, can anyone be against us? 32 God did not keep back his own Son, but he gave him for us. If God did this, won’t he freely give us everything else? 33 If God says his chosen ones are acceptable to him, can anyone bring charges against them?  Or can anyone condemn them? No indeed! Christ died and was raised to life, and now he is at God’s right side, speaking to him for us. 35 Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and nakedness, or danger and death? 36 It is exactly as the Scriptures say, “For you we face death all day long. We are like sheep on their way to be butchered.”  37 In everything we have won more than a victory because of Christ who loves us. 38 I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, 39 and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord! Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:31-39 NIV)

5. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  (1 John 4:8)

6. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, (Ephesians 2:4)

7. For the Son of Man came to look for and to save from the punishment of sin those who are lost.” (Luke 19:10 NLV)

8. "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. (Matthew 25:34 NIV)

9. There were also two criminals led out with Jesus to be put to death.   When they came to a place called the Skull, the soldiers crucified Jesus and the criminals—one on his right and the other on his left.  Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, because they don’t know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:32-34 NCV)

10. A New Heaven and a New Earth

21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.  I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:1-5 NIV).
